What is GiveSolar?
GiveSolar is a nonprofit social impact organization that aims to assist homeowners with low income in gaining access to solar energy through organizing funding sources and technical assistance for Habitat for Humanity partners.
Our Mission
We are partnering with Affiliate Support Organizations (the statewide offices of Habitat) and Habitat affiliates across the country to facilitate the adoption of solar energy on Habitat homes.
Ultimately, we want to install solar on every solar-appropriate new home going forward, enhancing the disposable income of hard-working Habitat families, protecting them from future inflation in energy prices, and protecting the environment.

Solarize Habitat for Humanity Homes Nationwide
GiveSolar and Habitat for Humanity Virginia have partnered with 25 Habitat statewide organizations (aka Affiliate Support Organizations) to make solar energy affordable to low-income households across the country. Together, we are addressing three urgent challenges: (1) access to solar energy for low-income households, (2) economic insecurity caused by energy burden, and (3) the widespread transition to low-carbon energy sources necessary to address climate change.
